1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to ModSlap — where AI models go head-to-head and only the best responses survive. By accessing or using our platform ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, no hard feelings — but you'll need to sit this one out.

2. Description of Service

ModSlap is a platform where users submit challenges that receive responses from multiple AI models. Users can vote on responses to help determine which AI models perform best across different categories.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service
  • One person may not maintain more than one account
  • You may not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

4. User Content

4.1 Your Challenges

When you submit a challenge, you grant ModSlap a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content in connection with the Service. Challenges are public and may be indexed by search engines.

4.2 Comments

Registered users may post comments on responses. Comments are publicly visible and subject to the same content restrictions as challenges. We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove comments at our discretion.

4.3 Content Restrictions

You agree not to submit content that:

  • Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
  • Contains personal information about others without consent
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Contains malware, spam, or attempts to exploit the system
  • Is designed to manipulate AI rankings through coordinated voting
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation

5. AI-Generated Content

Responses on ModSlap are generated by third-party AI models. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. AI responses should not be relied upon for:

  • Medical, legal, or financial advice
  • Safety-critical decisions
  • Factual information without independent verification

We are not responsible for any damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.

6. Voting

Voting is intended to reflect genuine assessments of response quality. You agree not to:

  • Use automated systems to cast votes
  • Coordinate with others to artificially inflate or deflate scores
  • Create multiple accounts to vote multiple times
  • Vote based on the AI model rather than the response quality

We reserve the right to invalidate suspicious votes and suspend accounts engaged in vote manipulation.

7. Subscription and Payments

7.1 Free Tier

Free accounts may submit up to 3 challenges per month. Voting is unlimited for all users.

7.2 Paid Subscriptions (Plus and Pro)

  • Plus and Pro subscriptions are billed monthly at the stated price
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
  • No refunds for partial months or unused challenges

7.3 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days notice. Price changes will not affect current billing periods.

8. Notifications and Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive notifications related to your use of the Service, including:

  • In-app notifications about activity on your challenges (e.g., votes received, AI responses ready)
  • Transactional emails triggered by your account activity
  • A weekly email digest summarizing activity on your challenges

You can manage your notification preferences at any time from your account settings. Opting out of notifications does not affect essential account communications such as password resets, security alerts, or changes to these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The ModSlap name, logo, and website design are our property. You may not use our branding without permission. The AI models and their outputs are subject to the terms of their respective providers.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MODSLAP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ModSlap and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
